As a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy and a former competitive athlete, cyclist. John has experienced some of those challenges of life and sport participation that unbalance the body and lead to seeking therapeutic assistance to regain the previous state of health, or activity. John aims to facilitate the healing process and will work with you to restore pain-free state of well-being, a therapeutic approach whether through 'deep tissue' massage, sports massage or maintenance massage.
John’s treatments aim for restoration of pain-free movement within each individual need’s. John’s approach will incorporate his educational, athletic and therapeutic experiences from SFU Kinesiology, NCCP Sports Science Coaching, Cycling Specialty and West Coast College of Massage Therapy RMT program and as a former member of the BC Cycling Team into a medically sound treatment.
Treatments include thorough Swedish massage, with along with a variety of techniques or approaches that best suit the client’s condition. Including mentionable: Armand Ayaltin’s Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy, Dr. Travel’s trigger-point therapy, Jim Bilotta’s soft-tissue release, variety of orthopedic and soft-tissue techniques, and perhaps even gentler, lymphatic and or Diane Jacob’s dermoneuromodulation techniques for peripheral and superficial nerves.

Marlene started her massage career in Alberta. She completed her education in 1992 and has been a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association in good standing ever since. She opened her first healing clinic in Stony Plain, Alberta and has owned or managed spas in Spruce Grove, AB, Summerland, BC and Manzanillo Mexico.
Marlene is known for her deep tissue massage. Working together with local physicians and chiropractors, her clinic in Stony Plain gained wide recognition. Marlene then opened a Healing Spa in Spruce Grove, AB revolving around Hot Stone and Lastone. Here she introduced Sea Flora natural seaweed based products for health and beauty to her spa.
In 2010 Marlene made a decision to move to Manzanillo, Mexico for the winters, where she was in high demand by vacationers looking for an educated and certified massage specialist and lived in Summerland, BC during the summers. After managing and working in a spa in Summerland for three years, Marlene founded Sea Escape Massage and Wellness providing Natural Healing modalities. Marlene is still an active member with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada in Alberta.
